Dear Dance Teacher,

We see you.

We see you staying late to rehearse that one section again, because you know your dancer needs it. We see you showing up early with hot coffee and a tired smile — ready to give your students everything, even when you feel like you have nothing left.

We see the hours no one claps for.

The corrections scribbled between bites of lunch. The costumes hemmed after practice. The car rides home where you replay every count of 8 in your head, wondering how to make it better, stronger, cleaner, more them.

Because that’s who you are.

You don’t just teach dance…

You build confidence.

You offer a space where young people learn how to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

To so many, you are a steady light in a wild world. A safe space. A mentor. A mirror. A cheerleader. A coach.

Some students may never remember every combination, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

They’ll remember your voice before they went on stage.

They’ll remember the text you sent after a tough rehearsal.

They’ll remember you stood by them when they won, when they fell, and when they simply showed up.
